What is Libra Cart
The Libra Cart box mounts on your grain cart, connects to the load cells you already have, and sends weights by Bluetooth® to the Libra Harvest app on your phone or tablet. It takes the place of the scale indicator in the cab.
It records every unload on its own. There is no PTO sensor to add, no button to press, no ticket to print and nothing to write down.
Why a scale on the cart
A cart scale shows what you have harvested and what is still on the cart, so equipment keeps moving. You fill trucks to the right weight instead of guessing, and every load is on record for planning, marketing, bookkeeping and crop insurance.

The hardware
New: Libra Cart M0018. The scoreboard and John Deere connection are built in, the battery lasts longer, the Bluetooth reaches farther and the status light is on the outside of the box.

Libra Cart M0016

Every unload, automatically
Libra Cart watches the load cells, so it knows when grain leaves the cart. It saves the weight, date, time and GPS location of every unload with the field, truck and destination. Partial unloads count. For under 1,000 lb, use the Unload and Save buttons.
Works without signal
The box talks to your device by Bluetooth, so it records in fields with no cell coverage or Wi-Fi.
Data backed up
Whenever your device has internet, harvest data backs up to the Agrimatics cloud. A lost or broken phone does not lose the season.

Questions
Will Libra Cart work with my existing scale?
Yes, with the load cells. Libra Cart connects to a junction box with a 4-pin AMP cable, which is what Digi-Star bars use, so those plug straight in. Systems with a 5-pin or 12-pin connection need an adapter cable. It replaces your scale indicator.
Can I keep my old indicator hooked up too?
No. A scale indicator powers the load cells, and two indicators fighting over the same load cells will not work and can damage equipment. Disconnect the old indicator before connecting Libra Cart.
My cart has no scale. Can you add one?
Yes. We build complete grain cart scale kits with Libra Cart, calibrated to your cart before they ship. Build your kit and see your price.
How is it powered?
A 3.6V AA lithium battery (included) usually lasts a full season of three to four months. A 1.5V AA lithium also works. Alkaline batteries can corrode the box, so use one only for a few days. For 12V, connect a power cable to tractor or cart wiring. Older battery-only box? We can convert it to 12V.
Which phones and tablets work? Do you supply a mount?
iPhones and iPads on iOS 13 or newer, and Android devices on Android 9 or newer with at least 2GB of RAM. We recommend a tablet in the cart tractor and phones as remote displays in the combine or truck. The smallest storage option is plenty.
We don't supply mounts. Most customers use a RAM mount or a window mount.
Do I need cell coverage or Wi-Fi?
No. Libra Cart records with no connection at all. You need a connection, through a cell plan or a Wi-Fi hotspot, to back up to the cloud and to sync other devices in real time.
How does it know I'm unloading? Do I press anything?
No. The box reads the load cells and starts recording once enough grain leaves the cart, so no PTO sensor is needed. Partial unloads are recorded too. For unloads under 1,000 lb, or if you prefer it, use the Unload and Save buttons.
Does the app have to stay open?
Yes, it has to be running. It keeps recording in the background if you take a call or use another app, but we recommend leaving it in front. Bluetooth headsets and other devices can stay connected at the same time.
Where is my data, and how do I get it out?
In the Libra Harvest app, backed up to the cloud whenever you have a connection. Export it by email from the app or from the cloud website.
I still use Libra Cart Classic. Do I have to switch?
No. Classic is still supported. Libra Harvest is the current app, and Libra University walks you through moving over when you are ready.
